This course provided by the LegalHealth division of NYLAG covers client demographics and types of legal assistance provided in 2020, racism as a social determinant of health and its impacts on health outcomes, the law as a tool to combat economic and social effects of racism, and the role health care providers play in breaking the cycle of health harming effects of racism. A good portion of the webinar is also spent on addressing housing as a driver of health inequities, and immigration status as a driver of health inequities.
